GreenSync wins two national iAwards

GreenSync is thrilled to have been awarded a national iAward in recognition of our ‘superior ICT product’, PeakResponse™.

PeakResponse™ is GreenSync’s Cloud Automation product for commercial and industrial energy users, which can forecast peak electricity loads across the grid in real time and automatically control large pumps, refrigeration chillers and generators to shave the peaks in demand, saving in the order of 10% on energy costs.

Our achievement is reinforced by the exceptional field of candidates who were in the running for this prestigious national award.

GreenSync’s Founder and Managing Director, Dr Phil Blythe was delighted to receive a second award on behalf of the company later in the evening during the iAwards Gala Dinner.

This unexpected second accolade – the Victorian Government’s Inspiration Award – the ‘best of the best’ – is the icing on the cake for the GreenSync team who have worked tirelessly over the past 24 months to drive product development, engage stakeholders nation-wide and inspire a new approach to energy management in Australia’s National Electricity Market.

‘We think it’s just fantastic that the value of demand management and our technology is now being recognised at this level’, Phil Blythe said.

‘This technology direction will be a major driving force in reducing energy costs for the business sector, and important for the Australian economy’.

The two-fold recognition of GreenSync’s contribution to Australia’s ICT industry is a timely endorsement ahead of our launch into new international markets.

‘You will be hearing some big announcements from us before the end of the year’, said Blythe. ‘These are exciting times in a rapidly evolving global market’.

We wish to thank all those involved in the iAwards for their efforts and acknowledge the impressive range of innovations from our fellow candidates.

GreenSync was founded in 2010 and built on two years of R&D, going live with its first utility platform customer in 2012. Its Cloud based technology platform is today being used by numerous electricity networks, retailers, and large energy customers to reduce peaks and energy related costs.
