GreenSync wins 2015 ATC Energy Technology Award

PRESS RELEASE: GreenSync has been recognised as one of Australia’s most promising emerging technology companies as part of the 2015 Australian Technologies Competition (ATC).

Among a high-calibre field of new technologies, GreenSync was thrilled to win the Energy Technology Award for its suite of software products designed to reduce peaks in electricity use for networks, customers and generators.

Founder and MD, Dr Phil Blythe was pleased to accept the prestigious award on behalf of the entire GreenSync team. He described the award as a vote of confidence for the part the company is playing to revolutionise how energy is produced, consumed and delivered across Australia and increasingly, throughout the Asia Pacific.

Blythe reflected that since GreenSync’s first technology deployment in 2012 the evolution of its technology offerings and sophistication of its products has been rapid. He cited the unflinching dedication of the GreenSync team and their commitment to excellence in product design and delivery as the main catalysts for the gong.

The ATC is Australia’s leading accelerator program for emerging technology companies. Now in its fifth year, the competition receives hundreds of applicants each year for its eight-month development program, which culminates in a host of awards for game changing innovations.

The competition has been tirelessly driven by John O’Brien, MD of Australian CleanTech- the unofficial captain of Australia’s Clean Tech sector. GreenSync wishes to acknowledge John, our partners, clients and supporters – all of whom have played a significant role in our success.

The benefits that are derived from the competition are invaluable for participating companies, while the competition itself serves to strengthen Australia’s technology sector as a whole. As such, GreenSync was disappointed to learn that the future of the competition is uncertain.

The award caps off a busy year for GreenSync who opened an office in Singapore in May and have since been making inroads into the dynamic and diverse markets of the Asia Pacific.
